The Party

I'm at a house party. I don't know anyone here. 

I'm trying to find my friends. I don't know where they are. No one notices me, except for the dogs. 

To look occupied, I concentrate on opening a pad lock.  

But the combination is inside a locked locker. I'll never be able to get inside. 

The party is getting crowded. All the dogs are staring at me. I still can't open the lock. 

i hide behind a couch to get away, but the dogs find me. 

I finally find my friends. They are leaving to get Chinese food. They do not take me with them. 

I'm still at the party. I can't open the lock. More people have arrived. The dogs won't leave me alone. I climb a ladder to get away. 

I spend the rest of the night quietly hanging christmas lights.
